Hye Min is a New York–based interdisciplinary artist, born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. Having spent most of her life in major cities, she finds comfort and inspiration in the quiet, generous beauty of nature—and in the raw materials it offers. Working primarily with ceramics and metal, her practice explores the balance between chaos and order, perfection and imperfection, aiming to reflect a quiet kind of strength.

Hye is deeply connected to the materials she works with. Each piece is hand-built, with a focus on minimal forms and textures. She believes that understanding the natural character of a material is essential to revealing its true beauty, and she embraces the imperfections and surprises that arise during the process.

Over time, meditation has become a central part of her creative approach. It’s how she tunes in, lets go, and allows the work to take shape. For Hye, creating forms is a way to stay present and express her inner landscape—sharing a sense of stillness and presence through each piece.
